Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wade Lausster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Gonsagi! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonsagi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lausster as he avoids it easily. Lausster is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gonsagi's half guard. Gonsagi is trying to stand back up but Lausster is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lausster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lausster trying to control from half guard but Gonsagi is working away. Lausster tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gonsagi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lausster is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lausster is thwarting Gonsagi's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonsagi pushes Lausster off looking to stand but Lausster dives back in and keeps control.
Lausster passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gonsagi! Lausster wants to control the pace but Gonsagi is squirming around nicely. Lausster is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gonsagi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Lausster throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gonsagi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gonsagi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lausster tries to control but Gonsagi wriggling away. Lausster jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gonsagi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gonsagi and Lausster has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lausster tries to move to mount but Gonsagi blocks the move with his legs. Gonsagi is trying to buck Lausster off. Gonsagi prevents Lausster from moving into mount. Gonsagi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lausster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lausster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gonsagi, who protects the arm well. Lausster is looking to take a break and control but Gonsagi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lausster is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lausster is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gonsagi has escaped the position, nice work there. Lausster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gonsagi, who protects the arm well. Gonsagi sneaks back into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lausster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gonsagi defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wade Lausster dominated that round. That's time! Lausster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Lausster throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gonsagi. Lausster tries to close the distance and clinch but Gonsagi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lausster fails with the takedown and Gonsagi counters with a single leg into guard. Lausster didn't expect that. Gonsagi is looking to work some ground and pound but Lausster has wrist control. Gonsagi postures up and lands a big shot to Lausster's brow. Gonsagi with a flurry of punches that miss. Gonsagi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Gonsagi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lausster manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lausster swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gonsagi is now in Lausster's guard. A big mistake from Lausster there, giving up the dominant position! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonsagi stands up over Lausster, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lausster is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gonsagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Lausster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gonsagi scoring with some ground and pound. Gonsagi wants to control from the top but Lausster keeps moving. Gonsagi scoring with punches to the head and body. Lausster utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gonsagi throws a big right hand that misses. Lausster looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gonsagi lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lausster looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gonsagi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gonsagi sitting in guard, not really doing much. Gonsagi lands a couple of elbows. Lausster is looking for a triangle but Gonsagi pushes his legs off easily.

Gonsagi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lausster works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lausster is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gonsagi defends well. Gonsagi is working Lausster over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gonsagi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gonsagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Lausster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Juan Gonsagi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Juan Gonsagi. I think Gonsagi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
