Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kosuke Soseki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardo Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Soseki lands a jab to the nose.
Soseki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Soseki waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Aoki.
Aoki shoots in but Soseki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Soseki stuffs the takedown.
Kosuke Soseki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Aoki.

Soseki darts in and clinches Aoki up against the cage.

It looks like Ricardo Aoki has been cut.

Soseki controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Soseki wants to stand but Aoki is controlling his posture from full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Aoki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Soseki is aware though and is defending well.

Aoki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soseki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soseki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Soseki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Soseki lands an elbow inside that Aoki shrugs off.
Aoki blocks an elbow strike.

Soseki pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Aoki is still on wobbly legs! Can Soseki finish him?

Aoki seems to have recovered his senses.
Aoki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Soseki walks away with a smile on his face. Aoki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Soseki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Aoki.

Soseki lands with a good body shot.
Soseki lunges at Aoki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aoki's hand.
Aoki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Soseki circles away.
Kosuke Soseki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Soseki has Aoki up against the cage in a clinch.
Soseki tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Soseki stalling against the cage.

Soseki manages to break the clinch.
Soseki misses with a few strikes there.
Soseki misses with an uppercut. Aoki saw that one coming.
Soseki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Soseki lands with a good body shot.
Aoki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Soseki pinned against the cage. Soseki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Soseki lands a nice shot that snaps Aoki's head back.
Soseki bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Soseki drops Aoki with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Aoki! Soseki dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
