PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Panzer Grenadier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phoenix St Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix St Laurent told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Laurent throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Grenadier blocks a head kick by St Laurent.
Grenadier keeps the fight on the outside.
St Laurent fails in his attempt to clinch.
St Laurent tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
St Laurent wants to clinch.
Grenadier stalks St Laurent and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into St Laurent's face. St Laurent staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Phoenix St Laurent has been cut.
St Laurent throws a quick inside leg kick.
Grenadier misses the jab.
St Laurent tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grenadier swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grenadier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
St Laurent doesn't manage to clinch there - Grenadier circles away.
St Laurent lands a head kick. Grenadier smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
St Laurent throws a body kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grenadier moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
St Laurent moves forwards but Grenadier connects with a nice, crisp jab.

St Laurent is rocked!
Grenadier steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! St Laurent is out on his feet! Grenadier sets himself and nearly takes St Laurent's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
