Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunder comes to the cage accompanied by Bread Got Bun. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Happy Day!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thunder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Day lands a knee to the head.
Day missing with knees to the body.
Day with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Thunder manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Day passes into half guard.
Day wants to control but Thunder is keeping him busy.

Day seems to be working for a kimura but Thunder defends the submission attempt.
Day looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Day is working for a kimura but Thunder is defending it quite comfortably.
Thunder is not content to let Day control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thunder is looking to improve his position.
Thunder wants to control but Day is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Day is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thunder defends it well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Thunder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Day looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Day is not content to let Thunder control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Day is looking to regain half guard here but Thunder keeps moving and retains side control.

Thunder is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Day will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Thunder works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Day regains half guard.
Thunder controlling the action here.
Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Thunder passes to side control.

and Thunder decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Day's guard.

Thunder is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Thunder seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Day trying to control but Thunder postures up.
Day wants to get back to his feet.

Day moves into full guard.

Day escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thunder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thunder pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Day is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Day tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Thunder counters by clinching up.
Day misses with a knee to the head.
Day with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Day tries to land a knee to the head but Thunder blocks with his arms.
Day on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Thunder takes a knee right on the jaw!

Thunder breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Thunder bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Day is trying to control Thunder's posture but Thunder avoids it.
Day regains half guard.

Thunder is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Day doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thunder.
Day manages to get to full guard.
Day is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Day keeping moving, preventing Thunder from controlling successfully.
Thunder is really struggling to control Day but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Thunder is stalling in the full guard.
Thunder sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Day's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Thunder escapes and gets back to his feet.
Thunder shoots for a double leg takedown but Day sprawls well. He's pushed Thunder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Day tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thunder paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Day is looking to clinch but Thunder is avoiding it.
Thunder shoots in but Day avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thunder swats away the attempt to clinch by Day.
Thunder avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thunder thows a body shot but no joy.

Thunder gets a takedown into half guard.
Thunder working the head and body with strikes.
Thunder wants to pass to mount but Day is defending the position.

Day tries to kick Thunder off but Thunder keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tyson Thunder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Thunder is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Day looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Day actively working from the bottom here.
Day trying to control but Thunder postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Day wants to clinch.
Day moves in looking to clinch but Thunder pushes him off.
Thunder is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Day fails with an attempt to clinch.
Day tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thunder paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Day darts in trying to clinch

so Thunder counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Day has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thunder can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Thunder avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Thunder dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Thunder doesn't manage to clinch there - Day circles away.

Thunder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Day keeps working.
Day is pressing down on Thunder's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Thunder is sitting in close to Day's body. Day has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Thunder is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Thunder is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Day.
