Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gunnar Odegard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odegard throws a left that rocks Carlin and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Odegard dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Carlin regain composure!
Carlin is rocked!
It looks like George Carlin has been cut.
Carlin tries to buck Odegard off but Odegard is having none of it.
Carlin is still in real trouble! Can Odegard finish him?
Carlin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Odegard's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Carlin is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Odegard jumps into side control!
Odegard stands up and beckons Carlin to his feet.
Carlin seems to have recovered his senses.
Odegard fails to land with a series of punches.
Carlin is looking to slow Odegard down with leg kicks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carlin throws a wild body kick that Odegard sees coming a mile off.
Carlin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No luck for Carlin with that takedown attempt.
Odegard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlin manages to avoid it.
Odegard fails to land with a series of punches.
Odegard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Odegard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carlin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Carlin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Odegard is breathing heavily.

Carlin grinds an elbow into Odegard's temple.
Carlin working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Carlin working the ground and pound but Odegard is defending the strikes.
Carlin controls the position.
Carlin prevents Odegard from escaping the position.
Odegard is not content to let Carlin control the position.
Carlin misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Odegard regains half guard, as Carlin was trying to land strikes.
Carlin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Carlin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Carlin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Odegard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Odegard is looking to escape.
Carlin scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Carlin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Carlin stops Odegard from getting back to his feet.
Carlin passes to side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Carlin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Carlin scores with punches from side control.
Carlin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Odegard is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Carlin wants to control but Odegard is keeping him busy.
Odegard is working to avoid the ground and pound but Carlin connects with a decent elbow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Odegard wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carlin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but George Carlin will probably get the nod.

Odegard lands with a nice combination. Carlin backs away looking to recover.
Odegard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Odegard misses with a wild combination.
Carlin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Carlin shoots in for a takedown but Odegard shows good takedown defense.
Carlin thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Odegard if he has to take too many more of those.
Carlin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Odegard avoids a kick to the body.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Carlin.
Carlin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gunnar Odegard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Carlin.

Carlin is breathing heavily.
Odegard throws an overhand right that drops Carlin like a sack of potatoes! Odegard dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
