2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gunner Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Randleman scores with a takedown into Armstrong's guard. Randleman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Armstrong can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Armstrong has his takedown stuffed and Randleman counters with a takedown into side control. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kevin Randleman. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Randleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
