Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nuevo Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buckley Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by "Get It On The Floor" DMX Feat. Swizz Beatz. Armstrong has chosen Russian Roulette as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nuevo Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buckley Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Armstrong, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Armstrong against the cage but Armstrong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sanchez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Armstrong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Armstrong avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Armstrong throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanchez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Armstrong misses with a looping right.
Armstrong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sanchez on the side of the head.
Nice defenses there by Sanchez.
Armstrong has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Armstrong there as he acknowledges the shot.
Armstrong missing with a left hand there. Sanchez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Armstrong throws out a loose jab but Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Armstrong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Armstrong shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Armstrong showed some decent athleticism there.
Sanchez gets back to full guard.
Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Armstrong's guard.

Armstrong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sanchez defends it easily.
Sanchez stays in close to Armstrong's body and controls the position.

Armstrong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Armstrong is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchez is aware though and is defending well.

Armstrong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sanchez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Armstrong.

Armstrong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sanchez throws a head kick but Armstrong moves out of range.
Armstrong looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range.
Armstrong connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Buckley Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Armstrong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armstrong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sanchez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Armstrong manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sanchez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armstrong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanchez has managed to get both his arms back between Armstrong's legs - danger averted.
Armstrong wants to sweep but no luck.

Armstrong is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Armstrong feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Armstrong is staying active underneath Sanchez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Buckley Armstrong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
