Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rady Remigio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remigio has chosen Tubthumping as his entrance music. Chung Kim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chung Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rady Remigio!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Remigio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Remigio gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kim to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Remigio wants to stand and escape but Kim is having none of it.

Remigio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kim can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kim drops back looking for a leg! Remigio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Remigio manages to kick Kim off! Kim jumps back into Remigio's guard.
Kim stands and throws Remigio's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Remigio seems a little lost for a moment, as Kim dominates the positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kim goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Remigio rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kim's guard! Nice work there by Remigio!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Remigio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kim is looking for a triangle here but Remigio uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kim is breathing heavily.
Remigio creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kim sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Remigio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kim throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Remigio is looking for a kimura but Kim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Remigio to get the leverage.
Kim has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Remigio is working away from the top position though.
Kim makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kim.
Kim has a closed guard, preventing Remigio from standing up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kim pulls Remigio in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chung Kim will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Remigio gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kim drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Remigio dives on top into guard.

Kim is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Remigio defends well.

Kim escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Remigio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kim trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Remigio postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kim is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Remigio, into his guard.

Kim drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Remigio manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kim has Remigio in his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Remigio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and Kim counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chung Kim will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kim has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kim wants to control but Remigio is keeping him busy.
Remigio is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Kim wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Remigio, who protects the arm well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chung Kim showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kim has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
