Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Thunder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Thunder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Big D! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Thunder as D shoots in. Thunder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Thunder misses with a takedown attempt and D counters with a nice double leg into half guard. D throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. D is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. D has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. D trying to control from half guard but Thunder is working away. D uses his free foot to push down on Thunder's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Thunder. Thunder swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. D takes Thunder's back. D is persistently looking for the submission but Thunder is defending it well.
D patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. I really don't envy Thunder right now.
D misses with an elbow to the head. D has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Thunder's body.

That's one minute gone in the round. D tries to get the hooks in deep but Thunder pushed the leg off. Thunder breaks D's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Thunder trying to control the position from guard on top but D is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thunder sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed D's guard. D has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thunder is working away from the top position though. D gets back to full guard.
D had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thunder defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. D looks gassed! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Thunder distracts D with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Thunder stands and throws D's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. D tries to get back to half guard but can't. Thunder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Thunder wants to lay and pray for a moment but D keeps working. Thunder working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. D sneaks back into half guard. D is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Thunder pulls his head out easily. D looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. D is defending against the submission attempts here by Thunder.
That's three minutes gone in the round. D is trying to maintain the position but Thunder is very close to passing his half guard. Thunder is sneakily working for an arm triangle but D sees it coming and defends easily. Thunder is looking for a kimura but D is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Thunder to get the leverage. D looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Thunder lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thunder shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and D decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thunder's guard. D slips nicely into half guard. D maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Thunder could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but D has cracked it and Thunder is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by D!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Big D!
