The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darby takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Starks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Starks connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Starks goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Darby misses with a wild combination.
Starks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Darby will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Starks shoots in but Darby avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Starks loads up on a big right hand but Darby slips the punch.
Starks lands with a kick to the temple. Darby shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Darby takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Starks feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Darby's calf.
Darby stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Darby wants it to stay on the feet.
Starks lands a head kick. Darby smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Starks sizes up Darby with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Starks drops back looking for a leg! Darby is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Darby manages to kick Starks off! Starks jumps back into Darby's guard.
Darby bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Starks's guard.
Darby wants to stand but Starks is controlling his posture from full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Starks looking for a guillotine here but Darby defends easily.
Starks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Darby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Starks manages to avoid it.

Starks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Darby finds it's way round the side to connect with Starks's head.
