Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pro Ject (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hit the Lights by Metallica. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henson lands with a hook. Ject tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Henson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ject swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ject displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Henson.
Henson ducks under a wild hook from Ject.
A nice leg kick lands there from Henson.
Ject looks to score with a jab to the body but Henson is just out of range.
Henson misses with an uppercut. Ject saw that one coming.
Ject misses with a looping right.

The fighters circling - Henson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Henson lands a head shot.

Henson walks into a straight right hand from Ject.
Henson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ject sprawls well. Ject wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Henson gets slowly back to his feet.
Henson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Henson duly obliges.

Henson throws a series of punches but Ject avoids them all with ease.

Ject tries to bum rush Henson with a series of wild strikes but Henson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Henson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ject looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ject is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Henson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Henson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ject is avoiding damage well.

Henson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ject rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Henson's guard! Nice work there by Ject!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ject is looking to stand up but Henson won't let him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ject closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Henson looks to land a combination but Ject avoids it well.

and Ject counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pro Ject is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown by Henson or perhaps it was just good defense by Ject which made him look bad.
Henson looks gassed!
Henson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ject moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ject lands with a hook. Henson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ject is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Mickey Henson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Ject connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ject misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Henson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ject lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Henson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ject is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ject lands a right hook to the body.
Good shot there by Ject.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ject lands a left and a right that send Henson crashing to the mat, dazed. Ject thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Henson is rocked!
Henson looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ject lands a right hand from hell, dropping Henson. Ject pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pro Ject!
