Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malvin Maldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres avoids a punch combination nicely.

Maldi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Torres.
Maldi tries to bum rush Torres with a series of wild strikes but Torres uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Torres is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Maldi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Torres defends it well.

Torres tries to hold on but Maldi pushes him away.

Maldi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Torres can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Maldi is working for a guillotine from mount but Torres frees his head quite easily.

You get the feeling that Torres really doesn't like being in this position too much.
