Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Struthers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kushin Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lee Struthers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kushin Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Struthers scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Takahashi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Struthers is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Takahashi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Takahashi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Struthers prevents Takahashi from moving into mount. Struthers is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Takahashi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Takahashi tries to advance position but instead Struthers slips a leg back in to half guard. Takahashi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Takahashi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Struthers pushes Takahashi off looking to stand but Takahashi dives back in and keeps control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Takahashi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Takahashi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee Struthers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kushin Takahashi. Takahashi looks gassed! Struthers throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice jab there from Struthers. Struthers misses with the combination.
Takahashi walks into a left hand. Struthers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Takahashi. Takahashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Struthers tries to sprawl out of it but Takahashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Struthers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Struthers circles away. Struthers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takahashi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice sprawl there from Struthers as Takahashi shoots in. Struthers throws a one two combo.

Struthers scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Struthers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Struthers tests Takahashi's chin there with a solid looking shot. Struthers digs a good body shot into Takahashi's ribs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Struthers swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Takahashi. Struthers lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Struthers.
Takahashi is rocked! Struthers lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Takahashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Struthers finish him? Struthers connects with a nice looking jab.
Struthers throws a series of punches but Takahashi avoids them all with ease. Struthers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. No luck with that takedown attempt from Takahashi. Takahashi takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Struthers lands a jab to the head.
Struthers is working the combinations to good effect here. Struthers works over Takahashi's head and body with a nice combination. Takahashi takes one to the chin there. Struthers is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Struthers lands a hook that stumbles Takahashi back into the cage. Struthers follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Takahashi to the canvas! Struthers pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Takahashi has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
