Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dana Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whyte's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Imagine - John Lennon. Woods comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Can't Be Touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dana Whyte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Woods! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whyte scores with a takedown into Woods's guard. Whyte drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Woods dives on top into guard. Whyte has control of Woods's left arm, preventing Woods from doing any damage. Whyte working a defensive guard here.
Whyte pulls Woods in close to prevent any damage. Whyte looking to hit a scissor sweep but Woods is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte is trying to keep Woods in close.
Woods is fighting to break Whyte's control of his arms but Whyte is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Woods would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Whyte has his foot on Woods's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Woods works his way back into a safe position though. Whyte is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Woods avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whyte manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Woods manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Whyte lands a couple of elbows. Whyte makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Woods keeping moving, preventing Whyte from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Whyte's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Whyte passes Woods's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Whyte is looking to advance position but Woods won't allow it. Whyte working the head and body with strikes. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Whyte connects with a nice short shot to Woods's temple. Whyte working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Woods on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Whyte thows a huge punch but Woods dodges it nicely.
Whyte has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Whyte is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whyte is taking a breather. Woods says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Whyte lands strikes from half guard. Whyte is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Woods sees it coming and defends easily. Woods is trying to control but can't.
Woods really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Whyte. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Woods avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Whyte. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Whyte takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Whyte throwing shots but Woods is blocking nicely. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whyte shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Woods is trying to defend but Whyte finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Whyte not landing any meaningful shots this time. Whyte scoring with strikes to the body and head. Whyte keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Whyte uses his free foot to push down on Woods's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Woods. Whyte is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Woods can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Whyte is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Woods has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Woods! Whyte controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woods gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Woods postures up.

Whyte throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Woods escapes and throws Whyte's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woods wants to stand but Whyte is controlling his arm. Woods working away. Whyte is looking to regain half guard here but Woods keeps moving and retains side control. Whyte can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woods sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Whyte is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Whyte might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Whyte gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Woods is thwarting Whyte's attempts to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Whyte is defended easily by Woods. Whyte looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Whyte slips a jab and a cross from Woods.
Whyte shoots in but Woods avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dana Whyte. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Woods displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Whyte. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Whyte shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Woods sprawls well. Woods wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Whyte gets slowly back to his feet. Woods pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Woods stuffs the takedown. Woods throws a series of punches but Whyte avoids them all with ease. Woods looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Whyte slips a jab and a cross from Woods.
Dana Whyte is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Whyte shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Whyte lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Whyte accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Woods keeping moving, preventing Whyte from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dana Whyte dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Woods throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Whyte blocks a head kick by Woods.
Woods misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Woods misses with a series of wild punches.
Whyte feints and as Woods raises his hands in defense, Whyte changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Whyte looking to sit in guard and control but Woods gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Whyte is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Woods defends well. Woods got a little sloppy there for a moment and Whyte has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Woods has managed to get both his arms back between Whyte's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woods being controlled here momentarily. Whyte escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woods gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Whyte looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whyte is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Woods decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Whyte, up you get! Woods tries to move into range but Whyte moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like David Woods has been cut. David Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Woods misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Whyte shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Woods napping and manages to drive through into side control! Whyte moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whyte scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Woods to see if he's OK.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Woods takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whyte scores with a couple of short elbows. Woods takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Whyte lands a nice forearm strike. Whyte grinds an elbow into Woods's temple. Whyte lands a few punches from side control. Whyte is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Woods can do to turn this around? Whyte works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Woods is letting Whyte control him for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woods taking punishment in the form of punches.
David Woods has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Whyte is looking to take a break and control but Woods is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Dana Whyte showed his dominance in that final round. Well Whyte has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
