The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wagnner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wagnner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mercer defends well.
Mercer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Mercer throws a big right hand that misses.
Mercer trying to control the position from guard on top but Wagnner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mercer stands and steps away. Wagnner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wagnner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wagnner throws a nice looking combination but Mercer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

It looks like Chris Wagnner has been cut.
Wagnner just misses with a punch to the body.
Wagnner takes a swing at Mercer's ribcage but misses.

and Mercer counters with a left to the body.
Chris Wagnner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wagnner looks gassed!
Mercer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Mercer! Wagnner is hurt baaadly! Mercer is firing away with more strikes - Wagnner is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
