Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Woodcock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ibi Dikki! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dikki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Woodcock sees it coming and avoids it easily. Woodcock bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dikki's head. Dikki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Woodcock. Dikki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Woodcock throws the left hand but Dikki avoids the punch easily. A leg kick checked by Woodcock. Dikki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Dikki shoots in for a double leg but Woodcock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Woodcock scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dikki wants to get back to full guard. Woodcock is looking for a kimura but Dikki is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Woodcock to get the leverage. Dikki wants to improve his position but Woodcock is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woodcock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Woodcock throws a lazy right hand but Dikki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dikki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Woodcock. Dikki just misses with a punch to the body.
A big right from Woodcock misses. Dikki keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Woodcock. Dikki displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Woodcock throws out the jab. Woodcock lands with a straight right. Dikki didn't see that one coming. Woodcock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dikki did well to prevent Woodcock getting side control. Dikki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Woodcock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Woodcock's back!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dikki has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Woodcock rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woodcock controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Woodcock looking to pass the guard. Dikki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Woodcock! Dikki controlling the position easily from mount.

Dikki is breathing heavily. Woodcock tries to free his leg and advance position but Dikki is retaining full guard. Dikki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Woodcock sitting in guard, not really doing much. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice defenses there by Dikki. Woodcock jabbing away but nothing is landing. Woodcock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dikki's guard. Dikki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dikki holds on to Woodcock as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Dikki slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Ibi Dikki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Woodcock seems to be looking for submissions.
