Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bonza Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Hi Tek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bonza Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DJ Hi Tek! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks misses with a straight left. Hi Tek takes a swing at Banks's ribcage but misses. Hi Tek throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hi Tek missing with a left hand there. Banks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Banks throws a jab but it's blocked by Hi Tek. Hi Tek keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Banks. Banks lands a slapping body shot.
Nice shot lands for Banks. Hi Tek jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bonza Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Banks slips a straight right by Hi Tek. Banks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Banks missing with a left hand there. Hi Tek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hi Tek throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hi Tek looking for submissions off his back. Banks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks is looking to take a break and control but Hi Tek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Banks missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Banks is nestled in close to Hi Tek, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Banks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hi Tek is trying to control but can't.
Banks throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Banks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Banks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Banks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hi Tek gets back to half guard. Hi Tek is trying to get back to full guard. Hi Tek trying to hold on to Banks's head to control him but Banks postures up.

Banks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hi Tek defending well though. Hi Tek wants to control but Banks is keeping busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Banks pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hi Tek throws a jab but it's blocked by Banks. Banks lands with an overhand left. Banks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Banks postures up in Hi Tek's guard and throws a big left but Hi Tek blocks it. Hi Tek working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Banks. Banks passes Hi Tek's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hi Tek looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hi Tek looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hi Tek trying to hold on to Banks's head to control him but Banks postures up.
Banks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Banks is working for a kimura but Hi Tek is defending it quite comfortably.

Banks landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Banks is nestled in close to Hi Tek, controlling him well. Hi Tek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Banks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hi Tek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Banks is working Hi Tek over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Banks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Banks is working Hi Tek over from the guard. Banks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hi Tek is breathing heavily. Hi Tek tries to reverse the position but Banks maintains control. Banks postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hi Tek badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Banks around the waist but Banks pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Banks is the winner by TKO! Banks jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bonza Banks!
