Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Collins!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dean looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Collins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dean knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Collins on the ground.
Dean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dean throws a strike but Collins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Collins drops back looking for a leg! Dean is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dean manages to kick Collins off! Collins jumps back into Dean's guard.

Collins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Collins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dean is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Collins trying to control but Dean is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dean tries to clinch there but Collins circles away.

Dean gets the takedown into side control.
Collins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Collins keeping control of the position.

Dean thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dean trying to mount his opponent but Collins defends it.
Dean working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Collins's thigh. Collins counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Collins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Collins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Collins avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dean working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Collins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dean throws a big right hand that misses.
Collins is trying to control the position but Dean postures up.
Deanis looking to pass into half guard but Collins pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Collins is in guard.
Dean looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Collins is pushing down on Dean's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dean is fighting to maintain full guard but Collins has managed to sneak the leg through.
Collins prevents Dean from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Collins is looking to take a break and control but Dean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Collins sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dean defending well though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sam Collins will probably get the nod.

Dean tries to close the distance and clinch up but Collins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Collins is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dean is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
