Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Romonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Bernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romonov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bernie was well out of range. Poor timing from Romonov.
Romonov misses with a low kick as Bernie jumps back.
Romonov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bernie tries to clinch up.
Bernie slips a jab from Romonov.
Romonov throws a series of punches but Bernie avoids them all with ease.
Bernie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bernie connects with a nice short shot to Romonov's temple.

Romonov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bernie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bernie's back!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bernie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Romonov misses with a looping left.
Romonov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Romonov throws a body kick that misses.
Romonov lands a left and a right that send Bernie crashing to the mat, dazed. Romonov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Romonov slaps away a takedown attempt from Bernie, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Romonov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Romonov throws a shot from downtown. Bernie moves away and avoids it.

Dmitri Romonov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bernie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Romonov sprawls well. Romonov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bernie gets slowly back to his feet.
Dmitri Romonov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bernie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Romonov!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bernie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Romonov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
