Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Redknack Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Embree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Momma said knock you out. Embree has chosen Infection by the Rx Bandits as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Redknack Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Embree! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Embree tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away. Embree fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bob tries to close the distance and clinch but Embree swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bob connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Embree's hands. Bob misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Embree tries to keep at a distance but Bob has taken the fight into the clinch. Embree manages to break the clinch.
Embree fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bob, pushing him back against the cage. Bob has had enough of the clinch but Embree keeps him there for the moment. Embree breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bob closes the distance and clinches. Embree manages to break the clinch.
Bob takes the fight into the clinch. Embree turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Embree stands up and we're back to a striking position. Embree doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.
Bob tries to clinch up but Embree circles away and keeps his distance. Bob tries to close the distance and clinch but Embree swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bob tries to clinch but Embree moves away and Embree counters with a straight right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fight stays on the outside here - Embree looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bob scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob tries to advance to mount but can't. Embree is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Bob is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Embree is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bob tries to advance to mount but Embree denies him. Bob is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bob blocks a head kick by Embree.
Embree throws a head kick but Bob moves out of range.
Embree closes the distance looking to clinch and Bob counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Embree rushes Bob and presses him up against the cage. Bob tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bob has clasped his hands together around Embree's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Bob is trying to move to mount but Embree reverses beautifully and ends up in Bob's guard. Bob has a closed guard, preventing Embree from standing up. Bob looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Embree wants to get up but he can't break Bob's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bob looking for a sweep. Not yet Bob, not yet. Embree must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Embree has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bob is proving hard to escape from. Bob is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Embree tries to stand but Bob is controlling from the bottom. Bob looking for a sweep. Not yet Bob, not yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Bob tries to clinch but Embree is having none of it. Bob tries to clinch up. Embree fails to land with a series of punches.
Bob is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bob moves into the clinch. Bob has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Embree is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Embree tightens his grip and picks Bob up, before dumping him to the ground. Bob manages to land in guard. Bob wants to sweep here but Embree controlling him for the moment. Bob has his foot on Embree's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Embree works his way back into a safe position though. Bob lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Embree! Embree is trying to stand up. Bob trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bob raining down shots from the mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Embree wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Embree is controlling an arm, preventing Bob from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Redknack Bob will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bob connects with a solid leg kick. Bob shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Embree's guard. Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Embree is keeping the position for now. Embree scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Bob throws a nice looking combination but Embree bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bob moves into the clinch. Bob is trying to maintain a safe position but Embree gets an underhook and turns Bob into the cage. Embree has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bob regains guard immediately. Embree decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bob, up you get! Embree tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range. Bob is looking to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Bob looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Embree circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Embree misses with a wild body shot. Embree avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bob throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Embree tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center. Embree wants to clinch but Bob slips to the side and Bob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Embree won't be happy with that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bob wants to control but Embree is keeping him busy. Bob tries to move into full mount but can't pass Embree's legs. Embree wants to get back to his feet. Bob trying to control the action but Embree is working from the bottom. Embree is trying to escape the position but Bob is controlling the position. Bob misses with the ground and pound. Embree defending against the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A low kick from Embree misses and Bob counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Embree's guard now. Redknack Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bob wants to pass the guard but Embree is keeping the position. Embree is looking to stand up but Bob isn't so interested in that idea. Bob thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Embree pushes Bob off and gets back to his feet.
Embree tries to clinch but Bob moves away and Bob counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Embree throws a chopping leg kick but Bob manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Matt Embree is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bob doesn't manage to clinch there - Embree circles away.
Embree circles away from the clinch attempt and Embree counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Embree throws a hook but Bob avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Embree keeping full guard, as Bob tries to pass. Bob drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Embree dives on top into guard. Embree wants to get up but he can't break Bob's closed guard. Embree breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Bob looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bob gets the takedown into side control. Bob tries for a kimura but Embree is defending well. Bob wants to control but Embree is keeping him busy. Embree being controlled for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bob looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Redknack Bob dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bob tries to land knees in the clinch but Embree avoids the damage to the body. Bob tries a knee to the head but Embree blocks it.

Bob swings wildly with an uppercut but Embree uses good head movement to avoid it. Embree is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bob pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bob tries to clinch up. Bob tries to clinch but Embree is having none of it. Embree fails with an attempt to clinch.
Embree swats away the attempt to clinch by Bob. Matt Embree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob moves into range and clinches up with Embree. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Embree landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bob gets underhooks to prevent Embree's takedown attempt.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Embree fails in his attempt to clinch. Bob shoots for a takedown but Embree saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Bob jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bob trying to control but Embree is working from the bottom. Bob throwing strikes but missing. Embree is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bob is controlling him.

Embree wants to stand and escape but Bob is having none of it. Bob trying to control but Embree is working from the bottom. Embree pushes Bob off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Bob counters with a nice body kick. Embree gets caught flat footed, as Bob shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bob drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bob jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Embree wants to stand up but Bob is controlling him. Matt Embree has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bob trying to control but Embree is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob slips nicely into half guard. Bob prevents Embree from standing back up.
Bob is keen to just control but Embree is a slippery customer. Bob is working for a kimura but Embree is defending it quite comfortably.
Bob wants to pass to mount but Embree is defending the position. Embree is looking to escape. Embree is in trouble now - Bob has advanced to mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Redknack Bob showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
