Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Bobberson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Rider!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rider throws a nice inside leg kick.

Bobberson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rider throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Rider is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bobberson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rider is pressing down on Bobberson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bobberson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rider swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rider is trying to control the position but Bobberson postures up.
Bobberson tries to free his leg and advance position but Rider is retaining full guard.

Bobberson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rider lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

Bobberson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rider keeping full guard, as Bobberson tries to pass.
Rider throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rider avoids the head kick by Bobberson.

Rider looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rider makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Bobberson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rider wants to control from the top but Bobberson keeps moving.
Rider scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Rider postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Rider is working Bobberson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bobberson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rider defends well.
Rider must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bobberson is breathing heavily.
Rider with a nice head shot there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rider throws and elbow that misses. Bobberson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rider's guard. Nice move by Bobberson!
Bobberson pushes down on Rider's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Rider works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rider bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bobberson's guard.
Rider landing some decent shots from guard.
Rider working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Rider trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rider lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Rider got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bobberson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rider has managed to get both his arms back between Bobberson's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rider wants to control from the top but Bobberson keeps moving.

Rider postures up and lands a big shot to Bobberson's brow.
Bobberson wants to stand up but Rider is controlling him.
Rider scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Rider trying to control but Bobberson is working from the bottom.
Rider looking to pass the guard.
Rider connects with a couple of short punches.

Bobberson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rider defends it easily.
Rider wants to control from the top but Bobberson keeps moving.

Rider avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bobberson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rider puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Rider working Bobberson over with strikes.
Bobberson is looking for a sweep. Rider is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rider scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Bobberson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rider lands a nice short elbow.
Bobberson wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bobberson has hold of Rider's hands but Rider slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rider working over Bobberson with some ground and pound. Bobberson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Rider wants to take a breather but Bobberson is having none of it.
Rider scoring with strikes to the body and head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Rider dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Rider lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.


Bobberson is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Rider is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bobberson's half guard.
Oh Bobberson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rider passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bobberson!
Bobberson seems to have got his legs back now.
Rider scoring with strikes but Bobberson is staying in there.
Rider connects with a bit shot that sees Bobberson covering up! More strikes from Rider and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Rider is our winner by TKO!
