The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crawford fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nigal, pushing him back against the cage.
Crawford changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nigal fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Crawford moves into the clinch.
Nigal pulls guard.
Nigal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Crawford trying to control the position from guard on top but Nigal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nigal is looking for a triangle but Crawford pushes his legs off easily.
Nigal looking for subs off his back but Crawford has passed one foot through into half guard.
Crawford seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Crawford has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nigal defend it? Crawford steps over the head and cranks it - Nigal is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Crawford!
