The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Demerling lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Souza has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Souza and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Souza uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Demerling.

Souza tries for a takedown but Demerling sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Demerling clobbers Souza with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Demerling throws a chopping leg kick but Souza manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Souza shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Demerling but Demerling pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Souza is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Souza fails with the takedown.
Demerling throws out a leg kick but Souza moves out of range and Demerling only half commits.
A decent looking cross lands there for Demerling.
Demerling throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Souza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Demerling knocks Souza out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
