Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr Phil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dr Phil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar stuffs the takedown attempt from Phil. Phil gets slowly back to his feet.
Lesnar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Dr Phil has been cut.

Phil drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lesnar trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesnar, not yet.
Lesnar trying to control the position.
Phil is looking to advance position but Lesnar has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Lesnar wants to control the pace but Phil is squirming around nicely.
Lesnar wants to control the action but instead Phil gets a body lock and reverses into Lesnar's guard! Nice work!

Phil slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lesnar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Phil is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Phil throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lesnar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lesnar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Phil gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Phil seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Phil will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Phil is stalling in the full guard.

Phil seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Lesnar wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Phil scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Phil is controlling the pace.
Lesnar tries to roll over but Phil keeps him under control.
Lesnar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

A close round but Brock Lesnar will probably get the nod.

Phil decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Phil in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Lesnar controls Phil momentarily but Phil frees himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Phil blocks the strikes from Lesnar.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dr Phil just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Phil checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Phil tries for a takedown but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dr Phil dominated that second round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Lesnar closes the distance and pushes Phil back into the cage.
Phil is working for takedown but Lesnar is calmly controlling the position for now.
Phil wants a takedown.

A lull in the action here as Phil stalls from top position.
Phil is looking to take a break and control but Lesnar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lesnar tries to escape but Phil is in control.
Lesnar avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Phil.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Phil counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lesnar won't be happy with that.

Phil controls the position.

Lesnar is defending against the submission attempts here by Phil.
Dr Phil overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dr Phil showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Phil has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
