Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Makin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shinedown - Simple Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Erik Makin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage loads up on a big right hand but Makin slips the punch.
Makin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Makin slips a jab from Savage.
Savage digs a good body shot into Makin's ribs.
A slow jab from Makin misses its intended target.
Makin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Makin shoots in looking for a takedown. Savage tries to sprawl out of it but Makin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Savage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Makin looks gassed!
Makin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Makin wants to clinch.
Savage throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Makin on the side of the head.
Savage throws a hook but Makin blocks it.
Savage swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Makin.
Savage pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Savage throws out a loose jab but Makin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Makin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Makin is trying to control the action in half guard but Savage is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Makin is working for a submission of some sort.
Savage is trying to control but can't.
Makin thows a huge punch but Savage dodges it nicely.
Makin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Makin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Savage does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Makin prevents Savage from improving his position.
Makin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Makin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Savage's waist but Savage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Makin off to one side.
Roy Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Makin.
Makin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Makin shoots in and drives through. Savage sprawls well.
Savage misses with a two punch combination.
Makin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Savage is fending him off so far but Makin persists. Nope, Savage circles away and we're back to standing.
Savage dips to his left and cracks Makin with an uppercut!
Savage lands a really nice looking cross but Makin seems unphased.
Savage scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Savage works Makin's body with a nice hook.
Makin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Savage to score with a decent uppercut.
Savage throws a right and a left that both miss.
Makin shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Savage connects with a nice looking jab.
Savage lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Savage misses the shot to the body.
Roy Savage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Savage is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Savage connects with a crisp jab.
Savage is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Makin is rocked!
Crack! Savage connects with the perfect overhand right and Makin falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Savage!
