Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Ruis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Derek Cote enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruis lands a head shot.
Cote scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ruis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cote.
Cote misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cote had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ruis defends it easily.

Ruis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cote swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carlo Ruis will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ruis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cote's guard.
Ruis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlo Ruis.
