Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hans Klitz!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St misses with a wild body shot.

Klitz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Klitz is looking to work some ground and pound but St has wrist control.
St keeping moving, preventing Klitz from controlling successfully.
Klitz looking to sit in guard and control but St gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
St postures up in Klitz's guard and throws a big left but Klitz blocks it.
Klitz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
St postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Klitz is looking for a triangle but St pushes his legs off easily.
Klitz wants to sweep here but St controlling him for the moment.
St postures up in Klitz's guard and throws a big left but Klitz blocks it.

St drops back, looking for a kneebar! Klitz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Klitz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Klitz!

Klitz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
St tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

St parries the strikes from Klitz easily there. Klitz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable St to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that George St will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
St with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

George St overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

St shoots for a double leg takedown but Klitz sprawls well. He's pushed St's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Klitz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows St to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Klitz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in St's guard.

St isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Klitz stacks St on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Klitz!
George St is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

St sneaks out the side door and pushes Klitz away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

George St showed his dominance in that final round.
Well St has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
