Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nathan LaVelle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Filthy McNasty! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNasty with a hook. McNasty connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. LaVelle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McNasty works over LaVelle's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Nathan LaVelle has been cut. LaVelle tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A nice leg kick lands there from McNasty. LaVelle is breathing heavily. McNasty throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Filthy McNasty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McNasty will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Danga de danga de dang - McNasty scores with a four punch combination! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. LaVelle fails with a takedown attempt from distance. LaVelle takes a kick to the side of the head.
LaVelle is rocked! McNasty decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Oh LaVelle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! McNasty is looking for a kimura but LaVelle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McNasty to get the leverage. McNasty passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for LaVelle! LaVelle seems to have got his legs back now. McNasty working for a submission but LaVelle is keeping him at bay. McNasty is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. LaVelle is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. LaVelle flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. McNasty anticipates the leg and manages to get behind LaVelle and secures both hooks! This could be bad! McNasty slips an arm under LaVelle chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. McNasty has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. McNasty is squeezing on LaVelle like an anaconda would it's prey. LaVelle fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Filthy McNasty!
