Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Hacker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Mota! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mota tries to clinch up. Some wild striking there from Mota.
Mota misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hacker shoots in for a takedown but Mota shows good takedown defense. Mota throws a head kick that misses. Mota throws a sloppy head kick and Hacker moves out of range easily. Hacker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from Mota misses the target. No joy there for Mota, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mota just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hacker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mota's guard. Hacker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mota is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hacker is controlling him. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hacker controls from within his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Hacker dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mota fails with the takedown and Hacker makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mota really felt that one! Hacker throws a head kick but Mota moves out of range.
A big right from Mota misses. Jab by Hacker. Mota fails with the takedown and Hacker counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hacker controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mota is trying to stand up here but Hacker is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mota scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hacker manages to mount him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hacker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Hacker dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Mota wants to clinch but Hacker slips to the side and Hacker counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mota! Hacker controlling his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hacker controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Hacker showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hacker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
