The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damon connects with a single shot there.
Lilja shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Damon throws a hook to the side of Lilja's head but Lilja sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Damon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lilja.
Lilja shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ron Damon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Lilja with that takedown attempt.
Ron Damon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Lilja.
Damon throws a hook to the side of Lilja's head but Lilja sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Damon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Damon lands a nice hook to Lilja's body. Lilja takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lilja shoots in for a takedown but Damon shows good takedown defense.
Damon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Damon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lilja takes a jab right on the kisser.
Damon fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lilja on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lilja takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lilja is rocked!
Damon fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Lilja to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Lilja looks to clinch but Damon throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Lilja taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
