Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne tries to close the distance and clinch but bocalan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
bocalan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Payne is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Payne regains half guard there - taking advantage of bocalan's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

bocalan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Payne was covering up waiting for the punch and bocalan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Payne wants to sweep but no luck.
Payne keeping moving, preventing bocalan from controlling successfully.
bocalan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Payne is proving hard to escape from.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Payne.

and bocalan counters by moving into the clinch.
Payne wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Payne drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Payne has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed bocalan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Payne somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Payne is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That was a close second round but I would say that gerard bocalan will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Payne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with bocalan but bocalan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
