Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gilson Domingos Rezende Agostinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tony Davis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gilson Domingos Rezende Agostinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Davis!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Agostinho misses.
Davis misses with a straight left.
Agostinho does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Davis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis throws a shot from downtown. Agostinho moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Agostinho takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Davis throws a big shot that misses.
Agostinho gets caught flat footed, as Davis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Davis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Davis chips away with some ground and pound.
Davis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

I looks like Davis might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Agostinho isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Davis stacks Agostinho on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Davis!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Agostinho takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Agostinho is looking to regain half guard here but Davis keeps moving and retains side control.
Agostinho takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The referee asks Davis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Davis prefers to stall for the moment though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Agostinho stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Agostinho wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A jab lands there for Davis.
Davis avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Davis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Agostinho was well out of range. Poor timing from Davis.

Davis throws an overhand right that lands on Agostinho's shoulder, as Agostinho tries to avoid the shot.
Davis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Some bone on bone action there as Davis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Davis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Agostinho throws a predictable looking body shot
and Davis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Davis dives in and grabs Agostinho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Agostinho pushes down on Davis's head and hops out.
Davis cracks Agostinho with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Davis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Agostinho throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Agostinho misses with a few strikes there.
Agostinho throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Davis feints and as Agostinho raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Agostinho's guard.

Davis thows a huge punch but Agostinho dodges it nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Davis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davis in particular looking to stall.

That's time! Agostinho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Davis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Agostinho sprawls well initially but Davis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Agostinho is looking for a sweep. Davis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Let's hope that Davis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
