Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Winfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mayuri Tatsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatsuki comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Norther - Released kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mayuri Tatsuki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsuki fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Winfield on the side of the head.
An inside leg kick from Winfield misses.
Tatsuki misses with a straight right.
Tatsuki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Winfield sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tatsuki misses with a body kick.
Tatsuki lands with a good body shot.
Tatsuki blocks a head kick by Winfield.
Some bone on bone action there as Tatsuki checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tatsuki thows a left - swing and a miss!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tatsuki.
Tatsuki throws an overhand right that lands on Winfield's shoulder, as Winfield tries to avoid the shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Winfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tatsuki throws a body punch but Winfield moves out of range.
Tatsuki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Winfield was covering up waiting for the punch and Tatsuki finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tatsuki wants to control from the top but Winfield keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tatsuki throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tatsuki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Winfield avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Tatsuki trying to control the position from guard on top but Winfield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tatsuki throws a strike but Winfield rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Tatsuki is looking for a triangle but Winfield pushes his legs off easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tatsuki looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Winfield has picked Tatsuki up and slammed him! Tatsuki can't keep hold of the triangle and Winfield manages to pass to side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Winfield wants to control but Tatsuki is keeping him busy.
Tatsuki is looking for a sweep.
Tatsuki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Winfield will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tatsuki is not content to let Winfield control the position.

Winfield looks up at the clock and then as Tatsuki takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Winfield smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tatsuki is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Tatsuki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tatsuki.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Tatsuki is looking for a triangle but Winfield pushes his legs off easily.

Winfield is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Winfield won't allow Tatsuki to sweep him here.
Winfield wants to control from the top but Tatsuki keeps moving.

Winfield got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tatsuki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Winfield has managed to get both his arms back between Tatsuki's legs - danger averted.
Tatsuki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Winfield defends it easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A big left from Winfield misses.
Tatsuki tries to close the distance and clinch but Winfield swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tatsuki throws a hook but Winfield avoids it easily.
Winfield misses with a takedown
and Tatsuki counters with a right hand to the body.
Winfield throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Winfield walks into a left hand.
Winfield takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tatsuki scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tatsuki fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tatsuki in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Winfield is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
