The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snyder thows a body kick. Penn tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Horrible takedown by Penn or perhaps it was just good defense by Snyder which made him look bad.
Snyder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Penn.
Penn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Snyder sprawls well. Snyder wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Penn gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mick Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snyder throws a quick inside leg kick.

Penn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Penn lands in his opponent's guard.

Penn drops back looking for a leg! Snyder is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Snyder manages to kick Penn off! Penn jumps back into Snyder's guard.

Penn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snyder can do anything to dispel that myth.

Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No luck for Penn with that takedown attempt.
Andrew Snyder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Penn is breathing heavily.
Penn avoids the head kick by Snyder.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Snyder lands with a kick to the temple. Penn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Mick Penn has been cut.
Snyder throws a head kick but Penn moves out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Snyder.
Penn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snyder but Snyder pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A nice inside leg kick there by Snyder. That's going to slow Penn down.
Snyder throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Penn.
The fighters circle, before Snyder throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Penn's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Snyder lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
