Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adrian James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Lucas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Adrian James's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adrian James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Lucas! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lucas showed some decent athleticism there. James has his hands clasped together around Lucas's back. He's all about the action. Lucas is looking for a kimura but James is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lucas to get the leverage. James trying to control from the bottom.
James gets back to full guard.
Lucas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lucas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
James wants to sweep here but Lucas controlling him for the moment. Lucas is stalling in the full guard. Lucas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lucas scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lucas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lucas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lucas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
James wants to stand and escape but Lucas is having none of it. James is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lucas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. James swivels though and keeps the full guard. James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lucas postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lucas wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lucas misses with a few strikes there.
James tries to clinch up but Lucas circles away and keeps his distance. Adrian James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James tries to clinch up. Lucas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lucas off to one side. James closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - James lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas looking for a sweep. Not yet Lucas, not yet. James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lucas's guard. James frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. James controlling his opponent. Lucas tries to get back to half guard but can't. James landing strikes, looking to finish! James controlling from the full mount. James trying to control but Lucas is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lucas is looking to improve his position but James isn't that keen on the idea. James unloading with bombs! A nice elbow there by James. James has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lucas's face.
Lucas is squirming around, avoiding James's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian James dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lucas lands a good elbow from the bottom. James wants to control from the top but Lucas keeps moving. Lucas is looking for a triangle but James pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lucas tries to land a sweep but no joy. James drops back looking for a leg! Lucas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lucas manages to kick James off! James jumps back into Lucas's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lucas wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. James with a poor takedown and Lucas counters with a straight right hand. James misses with a takedown attempt - Lucas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lucas throws a one two combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. James tries to clinch but Lucas moves away and Lucas counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for James! Lucas trying to control but he's not successful this time. James holds on to Lucas as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Lucas is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. James can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Lucas breaks from James's wrist control and lands an elbow. James holds on for dear life, controlling Lucas's posture momentarily. Poor strikes thrown by Lucas there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's three minutes gone in the round. James regains half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. James manages to regain full guard. Nice work. James pushes Lucas off and scrambles back to his feet.
Lucas has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lucas won't be happy with that. James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lucas keeps working. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lucas can do anything to dispel that myth. Lucas is looking to reverse the position. Lucas wants to control but James postures up. James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lucas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lucas is looking to work his way out of this bad position but James is controlling him well. Lucas throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
James is looking to take a break and control but Lucas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lucas, who protects the arm well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James trying to control the position but Lucas is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian James dominated that second round. That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Lucas shoots and misses and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lucas's guard. Lucas managing to control the position. James looking to sit in guard and control but Lucas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. James pulls Lucas in to control the position. Lucas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. James looking to control.
James bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lucas's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. James postures up and lands a big shot to Lucas's brow. James passes Lucas's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. James working the head and body with strikes. James thows a huge punch but Lucas dodges it nicely.
Lucas is staying active underneath James, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lucas misses with some strikes from the bottom.
James is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. James is looking to take a break and control but Lucas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lucas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. James is looking to advance position but Lucas won't allow it. Adrian James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. James gets the takedown into side control.

He's pushing on James's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lucas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but James scores with a couple of nice shots. James performing his best blanket impression for a moment. James is trying to control the action in half guard but Lucas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lucas. James seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James throws a big right hand that misses. James pushes down on Lucas's leg and manages to get into half guard. James is looking for a kimura here.
Lucas gets back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lucas trying to control the position.
Lucas wants to stand but James is controlling the position. Lucas working for a triangle but James defends it easily.
Lucas trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Adrian James showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for James, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
