0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, david cabrera! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irvin leaves cabrera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Irvin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. cabrera swings for the body but Irvin moves out of range.
Irvin lands a nice looking kick to the body. cabrera takes a step back to recover. A big right from cabrera misses. cabrera throws a looping overhand right but Irvin ducks down to avoid it. david cabrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Irvin displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Irvin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

He's got hold of a leg but Irvin swivels and escapes. cabrera shoots for a takedown but Irvin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. cabrera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Irvin sprawls well. Irvin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. cabrera gets slowly back to his feet. Irvin thuds his right hand into cabrera's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
