These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
St Pierre throws a right hand that Coleman ducks under and follows up with a left that Coleman also avoids with ease.
St Pierre wants to clinch up but Coleman keeps it at a distance.

St Pierre fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Coleman.
St Pierre lands with a nice combination. Coleman backs away looking to recover.
St Pierre cracks Coleman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
St Pierre tries to close the distance and clinch but Coleman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Coleman pinned against the cage. Coleman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
St Pierre scores with a hook to the body. Coleman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

St Pierre is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Coleman's half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
