Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Augusto Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akseli Hammar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Matti ja Teppo - Näitä Polkuja Tallaan. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Augusto Araujo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Akseli Hammar! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Araujo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hammar. Akseli Hammar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Araujo stuffs the takedown. Araujo fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hammar. Araujo moves into range and clinches up with Hammar. Hammar misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hammar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Araujo is defending well for now. Araujo is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Araujo gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Hammar presses Araujo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Hammar lands a left hand.
Hammar can't find room to land a body shot as Araujo controls the action.
Araujo is trying to break the clinch but Hammar is controlling him. Hammar stalling in the clinch.
Araujo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Araujo has had enough of the clinch but Hammar keeps him there for the moment. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hammar. Araujo taking a breather. Hammar working aggressively here.
Hammar throws a head punch that misses. Hammar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's one minute gone in the round. A right hook to the body lands for Araujo.
The referee calls for Araujo to work.
Hammar prevents Araujo from breaking the clinch. Hammar missing with knees to the body.
Araujo wants to get back to striking at distance but Hammar won't allow it.
Hammar lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Araujo stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hammar misses with a body punch.
Araujo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hammar backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Araujo. Araujo prevents Hammar from breaking the clinch. Hammar working aggressively here.
Hammar blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hammar has Araujo pressed against the cage, preventing Araujo from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Araujo working hard to break the clinch. Araujo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Araujo breaks from the clinch.
Araujo misses with a series of wild punches.
Jose Augusto Araujo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hammar works on Araujo's body with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammar misses with a knee to the head. Hammar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hammar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Araujo swivels and escapes. Jose Augusto Araujo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akseli Hammar. Hammar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Araujo. Araujo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Araujo wants it to stay on the feet. Hammar looks for a takedown but Araujo sprawls well. Araujo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Araujo moves into the clinch. Araujo wants to get back to striking at distance but Hammar won't allow it.
Hammar has a couple of punches blocked by Araujo.

Hammar throws a punch but it's blocked by Araujo. Araujo can't break the clinch.
Araujo is trying to break the clinch but Hammar has him pressed against the cage. Hammar wants a takedown but no success here.
Araujo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Araujo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammar throws a combination. Araujo tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Araujo is breathing heavily. Araujo leaves Hammar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Araujo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Araujo moves out of range as Hammar throws a body kick.
Araujo throws the left hand but Hammar avoids the punch easily. Araujo misses with a combination
and Hammar counters with a one-two to the body. No luck for Hammar with that takedown attempt. Hammar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Araujo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hammar's elbow. Araujo just leaning against Hammar, taking a breather. Hammar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Hammar tries to work over Araujo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hammar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Araujo can't fight it off and eventually Hammar manages to take the fight to the floor. Araujo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hammar drops back looking for a leg! Araujo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Araujo manages to kick Hammar off! Hammar jumps back into Araujo's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Araujo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hammar defends well. Araujo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hammar stands and steps away. Araujo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Araujo stuffs the takedown. Hammar misses with a combination
and Araujo moves into the clinch. Hammar is trying to trip Araujo. He has hold of a leg but Araujo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hammar persists though and gets the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akseli Hammar dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Araujo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hammar scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hammar controlling the pace. Hammar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Araujo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Araujo is trying to get back to full guard. Hammar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Araujo sees it coming and defends easily. Hammar trying to control the action but Araujo is working from the bottom. Hammar prevents Araujo from improving his position. Hammar moves into full mount! Araujo won't be happy about that! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammar is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Araujo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Araujo shrugs it off. Araujo can't escape the position.

Hammar looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Hammar prevents Araujo from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Araujo slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hammar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Araujo keeps working. Hammar trying to advance position but Araujo counters by regaining guard. Araujo is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hammar dives into side control.
Hammar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hammar working the body and head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Araujo is trying to improve his position. Hammar has an Americana. Araujo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hammar is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hammar hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
