PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Guns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guns kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is diamonds and guns. Wilson has chosen Eminem-Cinderella Man as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson shoots in for a takedown but Guns shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Guns decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

and Wilson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Guns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wilson defends it easily.

Guns has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

and Wilson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wilson cracks Guns with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Wilson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Guns thinking.

Wilson tries to lock up and control but Guns gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Guns moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wilson has worked his arm free - good work by Wilson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wilson tries to lock up and control but Guns gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Guns is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wilson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wilson!
Wilson throws a strike but Guns rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wilson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guns looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Guns is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wilson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wilson shrugs it off.
Guns can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilson is looking to escape.

Guns is persistently looking for the submission but Wilson is defending it well.

Well Wilson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
