The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lonzo lands with a good body shot.
Grissi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lonzo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grissi somewhat.
Grissi slips a jab and a cross from Lonzo.

Grissi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lonzo is refusing to be controlled, as Grissi sits in half guard.
Lonzo is trying is best to control the position here.

Lonzo is defending against the submission attempts here by Grissi.
Lonzo is not content to let Grissi control the position.
Grissi is breathing heavily.
Grissi moves nicely into side control.
Grissi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lonzo keeps working.

Grissi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lonzo!
Lonzo is trying desperately to improve position.

Grissi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lonzo has worked his arm free - good work by Lonzo!
Lonzo is trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Grissi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lonzo wants to control but Grissi postures up.
Lonzo is looking for a sweep.
Lonzo can't do much from the bottom here.
Grissi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lonzo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grissi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grissi has a takedown stuffed.

Grissi shoots for a double leg takedown but Lonzo sprawls well. He's pushed Grissi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ross Grissi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lonzo, as that shot connected.
Lonzo grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Grissi takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Lonzo cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
