The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fellows has managed to clinch.
Fellows managing to block the knees to the body from Maynard.
Maynard is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Maynard seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks.

Maynard changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fellows fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Maynard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fellows walks away with a smile on his face. Maynard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Maynard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fellows pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fellows fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maynard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fellows throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fellows misses with a body kick.
Fellows shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maynard is trying to defend but Fellows finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Maynard works his way to full guard. Good work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fellows prevents Maynard from getting back to his feet.
Damien Fellows overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Maynard is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Fellows rolls with it to try and escape but Maynard cranks on the arm and Fellows is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
