Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Kalir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Bilko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Bilko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Kalir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Bilko! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bilko paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Bilko looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kalir! Kalir keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bilko controlling the pace for now. Bilko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kalir looks a forlorn figure.
Bilko controlling from mount. Kalir tries to hold on but Bilko postures up. Bilko tries to control but Kalir wriggling away. Bilko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bilko looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Kalir is working hard here to advance position. Bilko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kalir is looking to escape. Kalir is desperately trying to improve his position but Bilko has a good base and remains in mount. Bilko tries to control but Kalir wriggling away. Kalir is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bilko lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Despite being in the dominant position, John Bilko just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bilko has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bilko lands on the inside with an uppercut. Kalir is trying to drag Bilko to the mat but Bilko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Bilko jumps into guard, dragging Kalir to the mat.
Bilko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kalir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kalir working some strikes from top position. Kalir trying to control but Bilko is working from the bottom. Kalir drops back looking for a leg! Bilko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bilko manages to kick Kalir off! Kalir jumps back into Bilko's guard.

Kalir chips away with some ground and pound. Kalir drops back looking for a leg! Bilko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bilko manages to kick Kalir off! Kalir jumps back into Bilko's guard. Kalir advances to half guard. Kalir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bilko keeps working. Bilko moves into full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalir drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bilko manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kalir has Bilko in his guard. Bilko advances position into side control! Kalir tries to strike but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Bilko dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bilko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kalir is trying to defend but Bilko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bilko looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kalir gets full guard. Kalir has his foot on Bilko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bilko works his way back into a safe position though. Bilko trying to control but Kalir is working from the bottom. Bilko postures up.

Bilko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bilko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ground and pound from Bilko. Bilko controlling the pace. Kalir trying to hold on to Bilko's head to control him but Bilko postures up.
Bilko is trying to control. Kalir wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. John Bilko has got the better of the ground game so far. Kalir looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kalir is not content to let Bilko control the position. Bilko controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Bilko. Bilko moves into the clinch. Bilko gets a trip takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bilko in particular looking to stall. Let's hope that Bilko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bilko lands with a punch from half guard. Bilko wants to free his trapped foot but Kalir is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kalir wants to get back to full guard. Bilko wants to control but Kalir is keeping him busy.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bilko. Kalir tries for a takedown but Bilko circles away easily and Bilko counters with a shoot takedown. Kalir fights it but they end up in guard. Bilko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kalir trying to strike off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalir wants to sweep here but Bilko controlling him for the moment. Bilko wants to control from the top but Kalir keeps moving. Bilko slips nicely into half guard. Kalir is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kalir doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bilko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kalir! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kalir gets back to half guard. Bilko controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Bilko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Bilko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bilko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kalir's head. Kalir blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bilko. Kalir gets back to full guard.
Kalir is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bilko throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kalir's body to avoid the submission. Kalir has instead reached around Bilko's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kalir arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
