Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Dai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Glazkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dai comes to the cage accompanied by Dignity. Aleksandr Glazkov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Dai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aleksandr Glazkov!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glazkov closes the distance and clinches.
Glazkov lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Mark Dai has been cut.
Glazkov gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Glazkov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dai shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dai is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Glazkov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Glazkov!
Glazkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dai swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Glazkov wants to stand but Dai has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dai is trying to control the position but Glazkov postures up.
Dai looking for a sweep. Not yet Dai, not yet.
Dai wants to hit a switch here but Glazkov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dai there!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dai is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Glazkov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dai might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dai avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dai misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Dai tries to keep at a distance but Glazkov has taken the fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Glazkov is looking to stand up but Dai isn't so interested in that idea.
Dai tries to free his leg and advance position but Glazkov is retaining full guard.

Dai has gone for a leg lock! Glazkov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dai's guard.
Glazkov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dai is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Dai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Glazkov is one step ahead there.

Dai throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Glazkov escapes and throws Dai's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dai tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Glazkov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Glazkov stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dai to get to his feet.

Dai bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Dai will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Glazkov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Glazkov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Glazkov looks to land a left hand but Dai moved out of range nicely.
Glazkov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Glazkov tries to buck Dai off but Dai is having none of it.

Dai swings around for an armbar but Glazkov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dai's guard.
Dai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dai can't do much from the bottom here.
Glazkov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Dai is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Glazkov wants to take a breather but Dai is having none of it.

I think Glazkov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
