The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Jackman as Vasquel shoots in.
Vasquel cracks the inside of Jackman's front leg.
Vasquel scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Nate Jackman has been cut.
Vasquel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice defenses there by Jackman.
Jackman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vasquel sprawls well initially but Jackman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vasquel looking for submissions off his back.
Jackman is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Jackman with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Vasquel tries to reverse the position but Jackman maintains control.
Jackman working for a submission but Vasquel is keeping him at bay.
Jackman jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vasquel is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vasquel and Jackman has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jackman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Vasquel has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jackman but great work by Vasquel.

Jackman looking for a sweep but Vasquel has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Vasquel throwing strikes here but Jackman is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Jackman tries to lock up and control but Vasquel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Vasquel lands with some strikes.
Vasquel trying to control but Jackman is having none of it.
Vasquel is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jackman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jackman!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackman wants to pass the guard but Vasquel is keeping the position.
Vasquel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Vasquel looking for a sweep. Not yet Vasquel, not yet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jackman wants to control from the top but Vasquel keeps moving.
Jackman looking to sit in guard and control but Vasquel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackman controls Vasquel momentarily but Vasquel frees himself.
Vasquel tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackman is retaining full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jackman will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jackman throws a head kick but Vasquel moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodolpho Vasquel dominated that round.

Jackman cracks Vasquel with an open hand slap.
Vasquel throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackman.
Jackman tries for a takedown but Vasquel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vasquel wants to clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackman.
Jackman has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vasquel is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jackman yanks on the arm and Vasquel is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jackman.
