Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Brezinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Breckenmeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breckenmeyer has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Brezinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Willie Breckenmeyer! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Breckenmeyer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brezinski fails with a takedown attempt. No luck for Brezinski with that takedown attempt. Breckenmeyer fails to land with a series of punches.
Breckenmeyer shoots in but no luck this time. Breckenmeyer looks gassed! Brezinski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Breckenmeyer to the mat! Breckenmeyer manages to get full guard. Brezinski with a flurry of punches that miss. Brezinski passes Breckenmeyer's left leg - he's now in half guard. Brezinski wants to pass to mount but Breckenmeyer is defending the position. Brezinski performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Brezinski seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Breckenmeyer for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brezinski passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Breckenmeyer! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brezinski has hold of Breckenmeyer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Breckenmeyer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brezinski cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Brezinski is looking to control Breckenmeyer but Breckenmeyer is wriggling around and keeping busy. Breckenmeyer is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Brezinski patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Breckenmeyer is trying to get back to his feet but Brezinski has full control of the position and if anything, Breckenmeyer has just worked his way into a worse spot. Breckenmeyer is taking damage to the body and head. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brezinski has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Breckenmeyer has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Brezinski controls the position. Breckenmeyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brezinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Breckenmeyer staying busy and making it hard for Brezinski to control. Brezinski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Breckenmeyer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Brezinski has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Breckenmeyer is trapped and Brezinski is scoring with shots to the head and body. Brezinski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Breckenmeyer covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Breckenmeyer looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Brezinski punishes Breckenmeyer with strikes from the back mount. Breckenmeyer tries to roll but Brezinski sticks to his back.
Breckenmeyer wants to get back to his feet. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Breckenmeyer throws a nice looking combination but Brezinski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Breckenmeyer is breathing heavily. Breckenmeyer misses the shot to the body. Brezinski moves out of range as Breckenmeyer strikes. Nice sprawl there from Breckenmeyer as Brezinski shoots in. Brezinski forces Breckenmeyer back against the cage and clinches. Brezinski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Brezinski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Breckenmeyer's waist but Breckenmeyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brezinski off to one side. Brezinski drives through and clinches with Breckenmeyer against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Brezinski takes a jab right on the kisser.

Breckenmeyer has had enough of the clinch but Brezinski keeps him there for the moment. Breckenmeyer wants to get back to striking at distance but Brezinski won't allow it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brezinski loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Breckenmeyer scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Brezinski land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Brezinski stands and salutes the crowd.
