Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sonny Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy KOs!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by KOs.

KOs stands up and we're back to a striking position.
KOs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sanchez swivels and escapes.
Sanchez stuffs the takedown attempt from KOs. KOs gets slowly back to his feet.

KOs shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. KOs showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez is trying to stand up here but KOs is controlling him well.

KOs decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from KOs.
Sonny Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teddy KOs.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
KOs thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. KOs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
KOs controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanchez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

KOs's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
KOs can't escape the position.

Sanchez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Sanchez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of KOs's face.

Teddy KOs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sonny Sanchez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
