Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between john weldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hurr Durr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, john weldon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hurr Durr!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
weldon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Durr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten weldon somewhat.
Durr tries a head kick but it misses.
weldon scores a takedown into full mount!
weldon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
weldon lands a big shot there that rocks Durr but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

weldon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

weldon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee warns Durr that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Durr is working to get back to half guard.

weldon pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Durr is in a horrible position here. weldon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
weldon wants to control the pace but Durr is squirming around nicely.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Durr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
weldon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Durr throws a sloppy head kick and weldon moves out of range easily.
weldon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Durr napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Durr is not content to let weldon control the position.
weldon tries to advance position but instead Durr slips a leg back in to half guard.

weldon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Durr can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
weldon wants to pass the guard but Durr is keeping the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
weldon tries for a takedown but Durr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Durr misses with an attempted mid kick.
weldon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Durr.
weldon blocks a head kick by Durr.
Durr throws a head kick but weldon moves out of range.
Hurr Durr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
weldon shoots for a double leg takedown but Durr sprawls well. He's pushed weldon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for john weldon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Durr moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Durr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Durr - that will leave a mark!
Durr keeps weldon at a distance using the push kick.
Durr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Durr moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hurr Durr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Durr lands an elbow inside that weldon shrugs off.
weldon takes a knee to the side of the body.
Durr is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

weldon digs a right hand into Durr's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Durr's gas tank.
Durr putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has weldon in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Durr lands a damaging elbow.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Durr takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

weldon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Durr fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hurr Durr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durr lands with a slapping head kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Durr throws a solid leg kick but weldon takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Durr.
Durr pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Horrible takedown by weldon or perhaps it was just good defense by Durr which made him look bad.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from weldon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Durr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Durr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Durr connects with a nasty looking knee right to weldon's face.

weldon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Durr smiles and moves away.

weldon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Durr as he jumps to the side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Durr throws a head kick but weldon moves out of range.

Durr gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows weldon to score an easy takedown into full guard.
weldon tries to free his leg and advance position but Durr is retaining full guard.

weldon looking to sit in guard and control but Durr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Durr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on weldon, up you get!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Durr lands with a kick to the ribs.
Durr closes the distance and pushes weldon back into the cage.
Durr lands a nice elbow.
It looks like john weldon has been cut.
Durr with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Durr lands an elbow just above weldon 's eye.

Durr connects with a knee to the head.
Durr creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through weldon's defenses.
Durr lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

weldon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
weldon takes a knee right on the jaw!
weldon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Durr smiles and moves away.
weldon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
And that's the end of the fight!
Hurr Durr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Durr has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
