Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Blatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by whatsername, and does she remember my name?. Blatt is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: you're going down- sick puppies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blatt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Blatt scores with a nice head shot.
Doe misses with a body kick.
Doe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blatt's waist but Blatt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doe off to one side.
Blatt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Blatt tries to bum rush Doe with a series of wild strikes but Doe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Doe throws and low kick but Blatt moves out of range easily.

Blatt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doe.
Blatt throws a lazy right hand but Doe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blatt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Doe missing with a left hand there. Blatt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Blatt tries for a takedown but Doe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Blatt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blatt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Doe can pounce on him.
Blatt fails to land the takedown.
Doe throws a leg kick but Blatt checks it.
Doe connects with a right hand. Blatt shakes it off.
Blatt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blatt lands in his opponent's guard.
Doe pulls Blatt in close to his closed guard and prevents Blatt from doing any damage or advancing position.

Blatt lands a couple of elbows.
Blatt passes Doe's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Doe wants to improve his position but Blatt is controlling well.
Doe won't allow Blatt to pass to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Doe is trying to get back to full guard.
Blatt is working for a kimura but Doe is defending it quite comfortably.

Blatt seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Blatt working over Doe with some ground and pound. Doe looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Blatt is trying to work for a kimura but Doe is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blatt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doe keeps working.
Blatt is looking for a kimura but Doe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Blatt to get the leverage.
Blatt is thwarting Doe's attempts to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Doe pushes Blatt off looking to stand but Blatt dives back in and keeps control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Doe, right into the meat.
Blatt scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Doe throws a low kick, looking for Blatt's leg but Blatt calmly moves out of range.
Blatt thows a left - swing and a miss!
Blatt looks to land a combination but Doe avoids it well.
Blatt tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Doe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Blatt dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Doe looks to land a left hand but Blatt moved out of range nicely.
Blatt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Doe's guard.
Doe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Doe tries to get out of the position.
Blatt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Blatt trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Doe is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Blatt wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving.
Blatt drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Doe dives on top into guard.

Doe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blatt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doe has managed to get both his arms back between Blatt's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Doe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Doe drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Blatt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Blatt shoots in for a double leg but Doe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jeff Blatt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Doe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A punch combination from Blatt misses.
Doe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blatt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice takedown defense from Doe. No joy for Blatt on that attempt.
Jon Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Blatt.
Blatt stalks Doe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Doe's face. Doe staggers backwards, shaken.

Doe cracks Blatt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Blatt looks for a takedown but Doe sprawls well.

Doe thumps Blatt with a low kick.
Doe throws a front kick aimed at Blatt's knee but Blatt avoids it well.
Doe throws a jab but it's blocked by Blatt.
Doe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Blatt wants to get back to full guard.
Doe is looking to take a break and control but Blatt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Blatt is trying to stand back up but Doe is controlling him

Blatt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Blatt bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Doe's head.

Doe takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Doe pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Blatt throws a left and a right that both miss
and Doe counters with a nice uppercut.
Doe cracks the inside of Blatt's front leg.
Doe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Blatt takes a swing at Doe's ribcage but misses.
Blatt connects with a jab.
Blatt ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Doe throws a quick inside leg kick.
Blatt lands a right hook to the body.
Doe misses with a hook to the body
and Blatt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Doe looks to score with a jab to the body but Blatt is just out of range.
Doe slips under a jab from Blatt.
Jon Doe is winning the standup battle so far.
Blatt takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Blatt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Blatt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doe swivels and escapes.
Blatt leaves Doe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Doe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doe throws a hook but Blatt blocks it.

Doe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Doe misses with a body kick.

Doe thows a body kick. Blatt tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Doe is looking to score with low kicks.
Blatt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Doe but Doe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Doe feints and then cracks Blatt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blatt down.
Blatt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Doe scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Doe doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blatt counters with a single leg into guard. Doe didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blatt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Doe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Blatt, into his guard.
Blatt working for a triangle but Doe defends it easily.
Blatt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blatt tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Doe manages to move to mount!
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jon Doe.
I think Doe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
