4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tully Sisyphus! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vedhult closes the distance and clinches. Vedhult lands with a short head shot on the inside. Vedhult lands with a left to the head. Sisyphus trying to land knees to the body.
Vedhult looking for a takedown. A short body shot lands from Vedhult as the two fighters clinch.
Sisyphus is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vedhult is defending well for now. Vedhult wants to stall.
Sisyphus lands a good knee to the midsection. Vedhult won't want to take too many of those. Vedhult is working Sisyphus over against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Vedhult. Vedhult lands a nice uppercut. Sisyphus misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vedhult.
Vedhult gets through Sisyphus's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Sisyphus's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A quick uppercut on the inside from Vedhult. Vedhult gets a trip takedown into half guard. Vedhult looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vedhult is trying to control. Sisyphus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sisyphus tries to roll over but Vedhult keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vedhult passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sisyphus! Vedhult looking to control but Sisyphus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vedhult prevents Sisyphus from getting the reversal. Sisyphus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vedhult lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Vedhult lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Vedhult prevents Sisyphus from getting the reversal. Vedhult with good strikes from the mount here! A nice elbow there by Vedhult. Vedhult working Sisyphus over with strikes here. Vedhult cracks Sisyphus with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
