Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pepe Lombardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pepe Lombardi had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Pepe Lombardi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matt Serra's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombardi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Serra.
Serra takes a swing at Lombardi's ribcage but misses.
Lombardi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Serra steps into range and cracks Lombardi with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Lombardi flops backwards and Serra dives into his guard looking to finish!

Lombardi is rocked!

It looks like Pepe Lombardi has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Serra slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Oh Lombardi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Serra lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Serra with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Lombardi seems to have got his legs back now.
Serra postures up and lands a big shot to Lombardi's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Serra working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lombardi's head.
Serra with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Serra looking to sit in guard and control but Lombardi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Serra holds on and takes a little breather.
Serra tries to land a sweep but no joy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Serra has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lombardi off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Lombardi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Serra looks to land a right hand but Lombardi moved out of range.
Lombardi misses with a two punch combination.

Serra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lombardi is trying to defend but Serra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lombardi is breathing heavily.
Serra perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Lombardi is not content to let Serra control the position.
Serra wants to free his trapped foot but Lombardi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Serra is nestled in close to Lombardi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Serra in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lombardi tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Serra!
